The Asian Welfare and Cultural Association, Eastleigh Mela will take place on Sunday 29th August at the Leigh Road Recreation ground, 11 am – 6pm.
The Mela will showcase music and dance from around the world – China, Poland, India, Brazil and the Caribbean, as well as a Morris troupe, A rolling stones tribute band and the magic and energy of Bhangra.
Co-ordinating activities on that stage will be the ever-popular emcee Coco P.
The Mela, with its welcoming, friendly atmosphere is a true family festival, offering something for everyone to enjoy. Make it a date, Sunday 29th August, for you to celebrate Eastleigh’s cultural diversity.
Mohammed Mossadaq, the Mela co-ordinator said, “We are really looking forward to bringing the Mela back. I want to assure people that we will make every effort to make sure that the Mela is Covid compliant, and a safe outdoor event for all.”
